Former UBS PWM US Head To Quit

John Straus, former head of UBS Private Wealth Management in the US, is leaving the bank altogether, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters.

Straus led the unit from 2006 until February 2010, when he was replaced by the division's former northeast regional manager Jason Chandler and given a newly-created position heading strategic client relationships.

The reason Straus gave for his departure was the pursuit of entrepreneurial opportunities. The date of his departure was not stated.
