First Republic Bank, the private bank and wealth manager, has named Gregg Palmer as managing director, wealth advisor for its private wealth management office in San Diego. 

Palmer moves from Wells Fargo where he worked for 15 years, most recently as senior vice president and wealth advisor in the private banking and wealth management group. In his new role, he will work with high net worth individuals and families, foundations, endowments and non-profits, providing various wealth management services. He will be based at the High Bluff Drive office. 

First Republic has been unrelenting in its drive to expand its business. Just this month, the company appointed former Bernstein Global Wealth executive Matt Krusko as managing director for its New York branch, in the latest of a long list of hires this year.
