Ex-Analyst Returns To Russell Investments As Currency & Fixed Income Strategy Boss
The London Stock Exchange Group subsidiary has appointed familiar face Van Luu to lead its currency and fixed income strategy.
Seattle-headquartered Russell Investments has welcomed back Van Luu as head of currency and fixed income strategy in London.
Luu previously spent three years as a senior analyst in Russell Investments' global strategy team before joining Norges Bank Investment Management, where he served as a senior analyst for investment policy and allocation strategies.
In the newly-created role, Luu will be responsible for formulating the firm’s views on the outlook for currency pairs. He will work with the currency management and trading business to develop currency hedging solutions, reporting to Russell Investments' global head of investment strategy, Andrew Pease.
“Multi-asset solutions are at the heart of what we offer to institutions and retail investors, and we believe it’s vital to have a strong global team of dedicated strategist feeding insight into our investment views,” said the chief investment officer for multi-asset solutions at Russell Investments, Christophe Caspar.
“Van’s currency expertise will play an important role in creating investments that meet our clients’ needs.”
As of the end of March, Russell Investments, which is wholly owned by the London Stock Exchange Group, managed over $272 billion in assets globally.
