Europe Arab Bank Names New Private Banking Head

The London-headquartered subsidiary of Arab Bank Group has handed the role to an executive from National Bank of Abu Dhabi.

Europe Arab Bank has appointed Fadi Halout as head of private banking, replacing Philip Arida, who has moved to another role internally.

Halout joins from National Bank of Abu Dhabi, where he has been the country chief executive for France for the past 12 years. Before that, he worked at BLC Bank (France) and Credit Agricole Indosuez Group. Fadi was also a lecturer in asset management courses at Paris-Dauphine University from 2001 to 2005. In 2013, he became president of the Foreign Banks Association in France (CBEF).

Based in London, Halout speaks English, Arabic and French fluently. He brings particular experience of managing relationships with high net worth private banking clients from various parts of the Middle East and North Africa.

Europe Arab Bank has private banking offices in London, Paris and Cannes, serving high net worth clients from Europe and the MENA region.

“I am delighted to have Fadi joining the bank to lead our private banking team and look forward to working with him to continue the development of the business,” said Ziyad Akrouk, Europe Arab Bank's chief executive.

“With his strong banking background, knowledge and experience in providing products and services to HNW individuals, he will be a valuable addition to the bank's senior management team.”
