Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management Boosts Asset Allocation Team

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has bolstered its asset allocation team with the addition of Thomas Vlieghe, formerly a portfolio manager at Allianz Global Investors.

Vlieghe had been with Allianz since 2004, acting as a balanced portfolio manager of open funds and dedicated mandates for institutional, corporate and pension fund accounts. Before this he was with Bryan, Garnier & Co as a broker on European stocks.

In his new role Vlieghe joins a team comprised of eight fund managers which is headed by Françoise Rochette.

At the end of April the firm had €2.7 billion ($3.9 billion) in assets under management.

In other recent developments, in April Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management named Thomas Gerhardt as head of its emerging markets and commodities division, while simultaneously announcing the launch of its new Frankfurt branch.
