Eastspring Investments Names Singapore CEO

Prudential Asia's asset management business names a new CEO.

Eastspring Investments, the asset management arm of Prudential Asia, has named a new chief executive for its Singapore business.

Jackie Chew joins as CEO after serving as the regional director of group-wide internal audit Asia for Prudential Corporation Asia, where she was responsible for the internal audit for all of the firm's Asia operations, including asset management and life insurance. Before that, she was the chief auditor for ING Asia-Pacific and held senior roles at Merrill Lynch and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

She reports to Guy Strapp, CEO of Eastspring Investments, who served as Singapore chief until June 2013 when he was named to replace Graham Mason. She is now responsible for the operations of the Singapore office, which is the asset manager's central investment hub. It is the largest of the company's 11 offices in Asia with under 300 staff.
