ETF Securities, the exchange-traded products firm overseeing $21. 9 billion of assets, has appointed Liz Wright as UK IFA sales director, reporting to Frank Spiteri, head of retail distribution strategy.

The firm said that the hire has been made in response to a growing demand from UK retail intermediaries for financial solutions that comply with recent regulation such as the Retail Distribution Review.

In her new role, Wright will be responsible for promoting the use of ETPs and the IFA client base. She will also be working closely with the wrap platforms to ensure they provide easy access to a broad range of ETPs and appropriate educational material.

Wright was most recently at Barclays Wealth Management working within the group’s investment management and wealth intermediaries divisions.  Prior to this, she worked for UBS Wealth Management.
