Deals Of The Day: The Latest In Wealth Management M&A – BNP Paribas, Dynamic Group

BNP
Paribas Asset Management has completed its purchase of a
majority stake in Dutch asset manager and specialist lender
Dynamic Credit Group.
Dynamic Credit Group will be folded into BNPP AM’s private debt
and real assets investment division (PDRA), bringing its total
assets under management to more than €20 billion ($22 billion) –
as at 31 December 2021.
The firm manages assets of €9 billion, consisting primarily of
Dutch mortgages, which it originates through its own online
platform, bijBouwe, and other channels.
The financial cost of the deal, which was initially
announced in September last year, was not disclosed.
Dynamic Credit will become part of the PDRA division, while
continuing to operate as an independent entity under the
leadership of chief executive and founder Tonko Gast, who will
report to its board and to David Bouchoucha, chief investment
officer and head of PDRA.
