Credit Suisse Triples Stake In Geneva Wealth Management Firm

Credit Suisse has tripled its stake in Geneva-based Helvetica Wealth Management Partners, according to Reuters.
Credit Suisse increased its stake in the firm from 10 per cent to 35 per cent, acquiring most of its new shares from a Qatari consortium which includes Qatar’s ruling family, the report continued. Both Credit Suisse and the Qatari ruling family were founding investors in Helvetica, the news service added.
Helvetica's range of products includes traditional long-only funds, hedge funds, thematic funds and real estate investments. As of 31 October 2009, Helvetica reported total assets of $3.5 billion.
Credit Suisse declined to comment to WealthBriefing for this story.
