Change At Top For State Street In Europe
Before joining the US-listed and headquartered group in 2021, this individual worked at UBS for more than 17 years and also worked as COO at the Swiss universal bank of Credit Suisse.
State Street, the US-listed financial conglomerate, has named
former senior UBS and Credit Suisse figure Dagmar Kamber Borens
as head of global markets for continental Europe for State Street
Bank International GmbH (SSBI).
In this role, Borens reports to Anthony Bisegna, head of State
Street Global Markets and Andreas Przewloka, CEO of SSBI.
With more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, Borens
joined State Street in 2021 as country head for Switzerland. She
expanded this role to lead the German depository bank
business and, in January 2023, took overall management of
the investment services business for the Netherlands, Austria and
the Nordics.
Prior to this, Borens spent more than 17 years at UBS, where she
held a number of senior management positions in Zurich, London
and Singapore, including group chief financial officer for
Asia-Pacific. She was also chief operating officer of the Swiss
universal bank of Credit Suisse.
Borens is keeping her current responsibilities as country
head for Switzerland and will remain a member of the executive
management board of SSBI.
Borens is also a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit committee of MCH Group Ltd, a public listed, international live marketing company (e.g. ART Basel). Since 2010, she has also been an elected member of the American Swiss Foundation Young Leaders. She is a qualified lawyer and holds a doctoral degree in law (Dr iur) from the University of Basel, where she also earned her law degree.
