Brooks Macdonald Sees Strong AuM Growth

London-listed wealth and investment management firm, Brooks Macdonald, reports strong growth in the second half of 2012. The firm saw its total discretionary funds under management grow by £1.1 billion (around $1.65 billion), an increase of 31 per cent.

Excluding the acquisition of Spearpoint, as reported by WealthBriefing in November 2012, the firm saw £414 million of organic and market growth, an increase of 11.8 per cent, in the second half of the year. Total funds under management stood at £4.620 billion at 31 December 2012.

“We remain focused on completing the successful integration of Spearpoint and anticipate it beginning to contribute to our growth in the second half of the calendar year,” Chris Macdonald, Brooks Macdonald chief executive, said in a statement.
