Berenberg Makes Trio Of Private Banking Hires From Morgan Stanley

The European investment and private bank, Berenberg, has announced three new hires for its private banking unit in London.
Berenberg has hired Alexis Chardigny, Alexis Eman, and Stefano Novarini, all from Morgan Stanley, in a move to expand its private banking capabilities in London.
Chardigny is to head the international clients team in London, he having previously worked as an executive director at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Chardigny has extensive experience providing brokerage and wealth management services to UHNW clients, family offices, and asset managers across Europe with a particular focus on French, Belgian and Italian clients. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he was an executive director and senior client advisor at UBS Wealth Management.
Eman, meanwhile, joins Berenberg as an associate director after 10 years at Morgan Stanley. Having worked under Chardigny, as a vice president of the private wealth management team, he ran a multi-asset class brokerage model for family offices and asset managers, as well as covering UHNW individuals.
Lastly, Stefano Novarini joins the team after having been a sales analyst at Morgan Stanley since March 2010. Previously, he held various positions at Standard & Poor’s, SAP, and Whirlpool SSC.
All three will join Berenberg’s private banking unit in its London offices, which opened in 2003 and also handles the firm’s European equity and economic research.
Berenberg currently has 17 offices across Europe, with more than €28 billion ($36.81 billion) in assets under management.
