Bentham Asset Management Creates Client Portfolio Management Role

Bentham Asset Management, the Australian boutique investment manager, has created a new portfolio management role to support its growing client base.

Kate Harris moves into the new position of client portfolio manager immediately, after serving different roles at Goldman Sachs since 2001. Most recently, she was an executive director in credit and alternatives sales. She also spent time in the firm's debt capital markets group.

The appointment follows a strong year for Bentham, which has consistently delivered strong returns. For the 12 months to 30 June 2013, its wholesale global income fund gained 19.2 per cent -- at a time many fixed income and credit funds posted negative returns, the firm said in a statement. Its wholesale syndicated loan fund also delivered a 12.22 per cent net return in the same period.
