Barings Names New Global Distribution Head

Baring Asset Management has brought in Angus Woolhouse to take over from George Harvey as global head of distribution, with immediate effect.

Harvey is retiring at the end of April after over 14 years at the firm.

Woolhouse has over 20 years of international experience in the asset management industry, having held a number of senior roles at firms including Gartmore, Invesco and HSBC Asset Management.

In his new London-based role, Woolhouse is responsible for global sales, client relationship and business development across all channels. He reports to David Brennan, Barings’ chairman and chief executive.

At the start of the year, Barings named Nicola Hayes as head of client service and relationship development. Hayes replaced Tim Lord, who left the firm at the end of November 2012 after four years in the role.
