Barings Adds New Senior Hire

Baring Asset Management, the UK-headquartered investment firm, has appointed Duncan Goodwin as head of global resources, based in London.
Baring Asset Management, the UK-headquartered investment firm, has appointed Duncan Goodwin as head of global resources, based in London.
Goodwin reports to head of equities Tim Scholefield will be responsible for managing the global resources team as well as being lead manager on the Baring Global Resources Fund.
He replaces Jonathan Blake, who left Barings last month.
Goodwin began his career at Shell International and has over 19 years’ finance and investment experience in the resources industry.
He joins from Martin Currie, where he worked for over eight years and was lead manager on the Martin Currie GF Global Resources Fund.
Before this, he worked at Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and Lehman Brothers as an equity research analyst, specialising in European energy companies.
