International investment house Tikehau Capital, which has offices in Paris, Brussels, London and Singapore, has appointed former Societe Generale banker Jean Pierre Mustier as a partner.

Mustier, based in London, will focus on the firm’s international expansion as well as contribute to its existing work, Tikehau Capital said in a statement.

Previously, Mustier worked in corporate and investment banking at Societe Generale, which he joined in 1987. During his time there he held senior positions in various markets and financing activities in Europe, as well as Asia and the US.

He headed the French bank’s corporate and investment banking division (2002-2008), before taking over responsibility for asset management, private banking and securities services (2008-2009). In early 2011 he joined UniCredit as deputy general manager in charge of the corporate and investment banking division. Mustier left UniCredit at the end of last year, and has joined its international advisory board.

Tikehau Capital Group manages €5 billion ($5.68 billion) for institutional and private investors in various asset classes, including listed and private equity, credit, private debt, and real estate.
