Bank Of Singapore Scoops DBS Trio

Bank of Singapore has hired veteran private banker Terence Seow as managing director of a new team for the Southeast Asian market.
Seow steps in from DBS Private Bank where he was senior vice president for the mega-wealth segment covering the Indonesian market. He brings extensive experience in managing private wealth for Asian clients and has a strong treasury background, having held key roles at the likes of BHF-Bank in Singapore and Republic National Bank of New York, also in Singapore.
He is joined by relationship managers Wilyono Martin and Fran Shiuh Rou, both from DBS Private Bank.
The appointment comes as Bank of Singapore steps up its wealth management efforts in the region after seeing its earning asset base rise 20 per cent to $32 billion since its 2010 launch. In the first five months of 2011, the company has seen its asset base grow to $36.3 billion. Among the key hires made over the last months are Richard Jerram as chief economist, from Macquarie Capital, and Koh Siew Kim as investment counsellor, from HSBC Private Bank.
Bank of Singapore is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OCBC Bank.
