Bank Of Singapore Appoints New Head Of Trading Advisory And Product Development

Bank of Singapore has appointed a new head of trading advisory and product development, replacing Alistair Marsh, who previously occupied the position, according to a media report. Marsh left for personal reasons, the bank confirmed to this publication.
Fidelis Oruche assumes the position, having joined the bank in October 2012. He currently heads a team of close to 60 that includes trading advisors and middle office and product support specialists, and reports to Marc Van de Walle, global head of products, Bank of Singapore said in an emailed statement.
Prior to joining the bank, Oruche was head of Asia emerging markets trading (fixed income and currencies) at Royal Bank of Canada, Hong Kong. Between 2005 and 2010, he was with Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore, where his most recent role was managing director, Structured Solutions Group, responsible for structuring derivative solutions for capital markets and corporate finance.
Before joining Standard Chartered, Fidelis worked at Lehman Brothers, Japan and AIG Trading, Singapore.
As reported earlier this month, the bank appointed eleven veteran bankers to its Greater China team, in a move signifying the ambitions of this firm in Asia's biggest economy. The hires comprise seven bankers for the Hong Kong office and four in Singapore.
