BNY Mellon Wealth Management Makes Senior US Regional Appointment

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Craig Sutherland as president of the south-east  US region.

“With a roughly 30 per cent annual growth rate, our client base in Florida and Georgia is rapidly expanding,” said David Lamere, chief executive officer of BNY Mellon Wealth Management.  “We continue to invest significant resources in this area and view it as critical to our future growth.  Craig’s leadership and experience will be pivotal to our success in the region.”

Most recently, Mr Sutherland had served as vice chairman of the wealth management group since 2005, with responsibility for all strategies and practices for sales, client service and marketing. Prior to that he was a national director responsible for Mellon’s eastern private wealth management markets, having previously been national director for portfolio management for all of private wealth. Upon joining the company in 1999 he was in charge of Mellon’s private wealth management group in Florida.
