BNY Mellon Wealth Management Makes Big Moves In California
As BNY Mellon Wealth Management pursues strategic expansion in California, the company has named Amy Millman to become regional president of San Francisco.
Ms Millman will succeed Jack Cortis, who will be regional chairman overseeing efforts to increase the company’s community involvement and expand its presence throughout northern California. Both will report to Dave Holst, who heads BNY Mellon WM - West.
Ms Millman, who has been with the company for 15 years, was most recently the managing director of sales for Florida and responsible for all BNY Mellon sales activities in the state. She is expected to assume her new duties in mid-September.
Down the coast, the firm has appointed Kristin Nelson and Dean Catalano as senior directors of sales as part of the same strategic expansion. With these latest hires, BNY Mellon WM has added seven sales officers to the region in the past year and nine staff supporting the portfolio management side of the business.
Ms Nelson and Mr Catalano will be responsible for wealth management business development throughout southern California and will report to managing director Tracy Nickl.
Ms Nelson, who will work in the company’s Century City and Newport Beach offices, joins from US Trust, Bank of America Wealth Management, where she was a senior vice president and private client advisor responsible for business development in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she was head of corporate business development for the private wealth management division at Deutsche Bank Securities.
Mr Catalano was previously a financial advisor at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, a research and investment management firm. He will be based in the Century City office.
