BMO Global Asset Management Appoints Sales Director
The global asset management arm of New York-listed BMO Financial Group has named a new sales director to boost business in the UK wholesale market.
BMO Global Asset Management has hired James Tomlinson as sales director within its UK wholesale team.
Tomlinson joins from Muzinich & Co, where he was associate director for more than a year, in charge of sales to the UK wholesale market. Before this, he spent eight years within Schroders' wholesale team.
In his new role, Tominson will help drive BMO’s sales efforts, focusing on asset managers, wealth managers and family offices. Based in London, he will report to the firm's head of UK wholesale, John Bennett.
“We are pleased to welcome James to the team,” said Rob Thorpe, BMO Global Asset Management head of UK sales – retail and wholesale.
“His appointment provides additional expertise and completes one of our priorities of establishing a highly experienced and regarded team that will strengthen our position in the UK wholesale market and further support our growth ambitions.”
Newly-branded BMO Global Asset Management, which acquired F&C last year, managed more than $254 billion in assets as of the end of April.
