Ascentric Launches “Driving Test”, Re-Launches Website

The independent wrap platform Ascentric has launched its own “driving test”, a new training service for financial advisors which assesses their knowledge and understanding of the platform. In addition Ascentric has re-launched its website.

The test, which consists of two parts – theory and practical, mirroring its namesake- takes place once the advisor has undertaken a training programme. The theory test consists of 25 questions, has a pass mark of 80 per cent, takes 25 minutes, and can be done on a group basis.

The practical test is a one-to-one assessment by the trainer to check that the user is capable of accessing and navigating the Ascentric website and is also able to explain the process to a client. At the end the individual is given a pass or fail from the assessor based on their performance, and those who pass receive a certificate.

The Ascentric Driving Test is aimed at ensuring advisors are confident in explaining the platform’s functionality to their clients. One feature of the test will be to provide advisor firms with documented evidence of their training programme which could form part of a wider platform policy, the firm said in a statement.

Meanwhile Ascentric’s new website aims to be more aesthetically striking whilst seeking to enhance content and menu structure. It aims to be more user-friendly and efficient.

New features are to include a customer section, two advisor sections and an online demonstration to provide customers with a product overview.
