Ascentric Adds New Discretionary Fund Manager

Ascentric, the UK independent wrap, has added Hawksmoor Investment Management to its platform, and expects to add another seven discretionary fund managers by the end of year, taking the total to 30.
Hawksmoor, with multi-manager portfolio with veteran Richard Scott as its chief investment officer, was established in 2007. The company has four actively managed and three passively managed model portfolios, the latter tracking the FTSE/APCIMS Private Investor Indices.
A spokesperson from Hawksmoor said that any IFA can become more profitable by outsourcing the investment process.
In the current low-return environment, discretionary fund managers offer cost-effective support to advisors, Ascentric said.
