Arbuthnot Latham Adds To North West Regional Group
This publication brings more news about comings and goings in the world's wealth management sector.
Arbuthnot
Latham has today appointed Richard Moore as the head of its
North West regional group based in Manchester. He joins the
independent banking and wealth management part of Arbuthnot
Latham from Brown Shipley, where he held the position of
director, private banking.
Moore is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and
holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. Prior to
working for Brown Shipley, he worked for Adam & Company as a main
board director. Moore started his banking career working for
Midland Bank in various roles.
“Richard is a highly successful private banker who has held
senior positions in Manchester for the past 20 years and his
appointment as head of Arbuthnot Latham’s North West regional
office is another positive indication of our commitment to the
North West region. Richard’s appointment is the first of many as
we grow and I anticipate making further appointment announcements
in the near future,” said James Fleming, chief executive of
Arbuthnot Latham.
Earlier this year, the firm appointed former Coutts senior
bankers Rob Stapledon and Michele Coomber to its new commercial
banking business specialising in the media sector.
Among other recent developments, Arbuthnot Latham reported a
profit for 2014 of £3.6 million ($5.35 million), down from £7.7
million a year before, adding that underlying profits more than
doubled once the effect of a £6.5 million gain from a sale and
leaseback deal regarding its new Wilson Street premises in 2013
is stripped out.
The firm has three core services: banking, wealth planning
and investment management.
