Alternative Investments Specialist Adds To Zurich Team With Senior Ex-Credit Suisse Manager

UK-based independent specialist advisory firm Sussex Partners has named Filippo Montalbano as managing director of its Zurich branch.

Montalbano has joined from Credit Suisse Private Bank where he was one of the earliest members of the bank’s alternative investments group, joining in 2008. Since 2010, his focus has been advising clients on single manager hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, the creation of customised portfolios and selection of private equity funds. 

Prior to Credit Suisse, Montalbano worked in business development for a $5 billion Swiss alternative asset management firm which was acquired by Vontobel Group.  

Sussex Partners advises institutional investors, and specialises in identification, evaluation and monitoring single managers and funds of hedge funds for institutional distribution. The firm has $3.5 trillion of managed assets.
