Advisory Firm Expands Geneva Office

StormHarbour, the global markets and financial advisory firm, has made three new hires in a bid to further strengthen its client-facing business.

Hugues Dauphin, Vincent Briffaud and Alberto Ferro-Villani have joined the company as director of client solutions, associate of client solutions and director of capital markets and origination, respectively.

Dauphin was most recently executive director and head of structured credit distribution at Calyon in Geneva. Other prior roles include that of a senior economist at Crédit Agricole.

Briffaud was latterly at BNP Paribas in London as an associate in the fixed income division’s structured credit solutions team. He has previously worked for UBS Investment Bank and ABN AMRO.

Ferro-Villani was most recently managing director of Hepta Capital Partners, an alternative investment group. Prior to this he worked on the corporate debt derivatives desk at Credit Suisse.

All three report directly to Cyril Martinez, principal and general manager of StormHarbour Switzerland.

In November the firm announced it was to acquire Fortrinn Partners, a London-based alternative asset management business which specialises in volatility trading strategies.

StormHarbour has been hiring steadily since its inception, making 180 senior appointments from March 2009. The firm has offices in New York, London, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
