The Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS), the wealth management trade association, has appointed Ian Cornwall as director of regulation, effective 11 April 2011.

Cornwall latterly served as head of UK regulation APCIMS, a position to which he was appointed in 2006. He has also worked as a consultant at Bovill; other roles include senior manager at the surveillance division of the London Stock Exchange and compliance director at Allied Provincial Stockbrokers.

APCIMS offers services to private investors, with offices in some 500 sites in the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
