Rothschild Creates New Role As It Expands Emerging Markets Business
Rothschild Private Banking & Trust, part of the Rothschild banking group, has appointed Dominique Maire as head of emerging markets fixed income portfolio management – a newly-created role in a segment the firm intends to expand in.
Maire took up the role on 1 September, working with Siegbert Böttinger to manage fixed-income mandates for family offices and high net worth clients. He will also be responsible for managing the RBZ Dollar Bond Fund. .
Maire has been with the firm since 2004, latterly as a senior banker and first vice president. In his new role he will maintain these client relationships, but also take on new managerial responsibilities.
Previously, the emerging markets fixed income team members reported directly to the head of fixed income; however, the role of head of emerging markets fixed income portfolio management has been created in recognition of Maire’s expertise in this area, and also as the firm expands and new roles are necessary, a spokesperson told WealthBriefing.
Prior to his career at Rothschild, Maire also held positions in emerging markets research at UBS Securities and SG Securities in Zurich, Singapore, Bangkok and London.
