Swiss Bank Hires Regional Head Of Private Banking
Valiant Privatbank, part of Swiss-listed Valiant Holding, has appointed Herbert Jurt as head of private banking for the Central and Aargau regions.
Jurt will assume his responsibilities in October and will oversee the bank’s branches in Aarau, Lucerne and Zug, Valiant said in a statement. Prior to joining the bank, Jurt, who has strong regional connections, worked for UBS as head of institutional clients in Central Switzerland and Aargau. Earlier in his career Jurt also worked with high net worth individuals.
Martin Gafner, chief executive officer at Valiant Privatbank, said that he is convinced that Jurt’s appointment will contribute to the bank’s further development in German-speaking Switzerland.
In other developments, in April this year Valiant launched a presence in the canton of Jura, saying that this is the first private bank in the canton in the northwest of Switzerland.
